Happy Thanksgiving everyone! We had a fantastic Thanksgiving with my cousin and her family. She is a fantastic cook and a fantastic hostess. We went over to her house as soon as I finished making Orange Rolls, Jello pretzel salad, company carrots, and carmel pecan pumpkin pie. She made the turkey, Panguich lady rolls, mashed potatoes, stuffing, apple blueberry pie, cranberry sauce, and probably a few other things that are slipping my mind. Everything was so yummy. My husband was not disappointed, which is a good thing because Thanksgiving is his favorite holiday. Speaking of Thanksgiving, I heard of a really cool Thanksgiving tradition. My friend’s family got a little tired of the traditional Thanksgiving meal so every Thanksgiving one of the kids thinks of a theme and they cook a Thanksgiving meal according to that theme. For example one year the theme was Southern Food, so they had a deep fried turkey, cornbread, etc. This year was Mexican Food for them so they had Turkey with mole, and flan for dessert. I don’t think that my husband will ever let me do this tradition for Thanksgiving because he loves the traditional Thanksgiving meal too much, but maybe we can do this for a different holiday dinner, like Christmas dinner. The next day we went to disneyland for my husband’s birthday. It was so much fun to bring Jif.
This is Jif at Mickey’s table. He actually got quite frustrated that he couldn’t pick up the pen.
Here is Jif kind of throwing a tantrum. He really wanted to get down on the floor and crawl around. Kind of a gross thing to let your kid do at disneyland so we wouldn’t let him.
My husband and Jif on the Winny the Pooh Ride.
Jif thought it was hilarious when daddy wore his hat. So did all of the people in line.
Here is Jif exploring Tarzan’s club house.
This picture is actually the week before disneyland. We went to my husband’s high school friend’s wedding. This is the beautiful view of the ocean from the restaurant that we ate at.
Well, I’m sorry that I haven’t been better at posting lately. I will be better. Thanksgiving made me really busy. Currently my husband is studying like crazy for his finals. His first final is the day after tomorrow. I know that he will do great, he is so smart and he has prepared so hard. But he could always use extra prayers!
So what am I thankful for this Thanksgiving? Well, that is easy. I’m thankful for my husband. He is so wonderful to me. He is truly my best friend. He is such a good student and such a good daddy. Happy birthday sweet heart! I love you.
